Dr. Kim Clarity
Dr. Kim Clarity, is the Senior Minister of the Spiritual Center for Positive Living, Director of Seeking Clarity Academy of Spiritual Arts, and a Master Spiritual Life Coach. Dr. Kim began her spiritual journey in the 1980’s with an introduction to New Thought through the Eschatology study. Her path soon led her to Science of Mind and to the well-known author and speaker, Dr. Terry Cole Whittaker, with whom she began taking workshops, seminars and classes. She then interned and studied with best-selling author Marianne Williamson, who gave lectures and classes on A Course in Miracles in Los Angeles.
Dr. Kim completed five years of study through Emerson Theological Institute and received her Ministerial license in March of 2003, and her Doctorate of Religious Studies in March 2008.
Guided by Spirit, Dr. Kim is led to move people with words. She is a gifted and dynamic speaker, who brings her heartfelt passion and love to all who enter our Center. Dr. Kim has a highly successful Spiritual Life Coaching practice, and has assisted hundreds of people, children, couples and families to find joy, health, prosperity, purpose, and connection with themselves and God. Dr. Kim’s recent focus centers on group coaching; she is currently facilitating the “Enriching Your Relationships” and “Effective Parenting” groups at SCPL.
Dr. Kim has been the keynote speaker and workshop facilitator at various conferences and events, including The Balanced Life Symposium in 2005, ANTN Annual Conferences 2005 & 2008, and numerous Seeking Clarity Retreats 2000 - 2008. Kim, along with Dr. Pattie Weber, has released a vocal duo CD entitled “Sannyasi,” and opened for Rickie Byars at the August 13, 2004 concert in El Dorado Hills. Dr. Clarity and Dr. Weber also collaborated on the creation of a set of morning and evening meditation CDs entitled “Meditations of Clarity.”
2009 will kick off a nationwide seminar series, Seeking Clarity Seminars, designed to credential Spiritual Life Coaches and provide people with a step-by-step approach to expanding their consciousness to make lasting change in their lives.
Before Kim’s calling to the Ministry, she was in high-level management with restaurants all over the country; her favorite spots were the fun and trendy Cheese and Olive Café on Venice Beach, and the infamous industry hangout, Fellini’s on Melrose in Hollywood. After mastering the independent restaurant business, Kim quickly worked her way up the corporate ladder to achieve Executive Director for Rusty Pelican Inc., a national fine dining restaurant chain. Kim became a national trainer and her innovative team service ideas opened the doors to “Possibility Thinking” in the workplace. Through her “Train The Trainer” seminars, Kim helped to develop a new understanding of working in the service industry. A slip-and-fall in a restaurant escorted Kim out of the business, and what was first perceived as a tragedy, opened the door to new possibilities. Always loving the speaking, training and teaching aspect of her work, Spirit led her to the Ministry.
Dr. Kim is grateful for every soul who has touched her, and for the unconditional love of Spirit that guides her daily.
