The History of SCPL

SCPL was founded by Rev. Russ Miller, Dr. Kim Clarity and Rev.Dr. Pattie Weber in 1999. Being led by Rev. Russ as senior minister for 2 years and then later by Dr. Kim for 10, with Rev. Pattie as Music Minister, the Center grew steadily. It was a “church in a box” for two years, meeting at a community center, library and high school, setting up chairs and a sound system every week, while patiently building a fellowship. In 2001, SCPL found a home in Cameron Park on Royal Dr., starting with a sanctuary and small office, expanding into ministerial offices, classrooms, gift store, Bistro and a congregation that grew lovingly in size and number.

In 2010 Rev. Dr. Pattie Weber became the Senior Minister, and led the way into their new building! In 2013, a beautiful one story building was designed for SCPL. Once simply an empty building, it now houses a growing congregation of inspired souls. Almost twice the size of the Royal Dr. location, this new location on Ponte Morino, has a full kitchen and social room, outdoor patio, kid's room, meditation room, offices, an inviting foyer and larger sanctuary. SCPL had their first service in the new location on February 17, 2013. SCPL is a special Spiritual Center, known for its dynamic music, its joy, and its solid foundation of high consciousness teaching.
