WORDS

Many words are spoken in hurt or fear
And words can be bad or good
They’re not always words we want to hear
Many times they can be misunderstood

Words can express love or hate
Words we say may bring us pain
Many times they seal our fate
Ne’re the negative bring us gain

Words we use have great power
Words can be a mighty force
Words of beauty are as the blooming flower
Words of dread can stray true course

Careful of the words you think and state
For words used in anger may be given quick
Words determine the life we create
Words said hastily may be the ones that stick

Consider what you say before it’s said
Listen carefully to the words you cultivate
We cannot disregard words once they are read
Think what you say before it’s too late

Always be true with your words that are spoken
A lie will perpetuate its own doom
Give them honestly and promises ne’re broken
Forego the destiny of untruths and avoid the gloom

Be most careful of the words you think in mind
Be unimpeachable in all words to the end
For words are energy which can falsely blind
Words can be enemies or the truest of friends
